Van Morrison – Brown Eyed Girl (1967)
Van Morrison (né George Ivan Morrison le 31 août 1945) est un chanteur et auteur-compositeur nord-irlandais.
Il va faire partie de plusieurs groupes dont « Them ». Il va les quitter en 1966 pour poursuivre une carrière solo.
La chanson « Brown Eyed Girl » est le premier grand succès de Van Morrison.
On retrouve la chanson sur son premier album solo « Blowin’ Your Mind! » sorti en 1967.

En 1968, il y a un groupe Les Mersey’s qui va reprendre la musique de la chanson pour s’offrir une chanson en français qui s’appellera « Mexico ».
Billy Ray Cyrus va faire un cover de la chanson pour son album « Home at Last » sorti en 2007.
En 2010, Reel Big Fish va proposer sa propre version de la chanson pour leur album.
Bruce Springteen va reprendre la chanson pour un album et durant ses spectacles en 2014.
En 2010, le groupe de rock Everclear va reprendre la chanson pour son album « Songs from an American Movie, Vol. 1 : Learning How to Smile »
